Photo + video

Mix 360 photo and 360 video scenes in one tour

Put 360 photos and 360 videos in the same tour; visitors walk between them with a brief reload when they cross from one kind to the other.

Narration script

The walkthrough has not been recorded yet. This is the narration it will follow, step for step.

This tour starts with a drone video over the building and then walks inside through 360 photos. Both kinds can live in one tour now. I connect the drone scene to the front door like any other arrow. On the tour, when I walk from the video into the photo, the viewer takes a second to switch, and then I'm inside, facing the way the arrow said. The rail, the map and the Back button all work across the switch. My tip: put that crossing somewhere a pause feels natural, like stepping through the front door.

Steps

  1. Create scenes from 360 photos and 360 videos at the same destination as usual. Nothing special is needed.
  2. Connect them with arrows, the Connections page or the tour map, exactly as with photo-only tours.
  3. On the tour, walking from a photo scene to a video scene (or back) reloads the viewer for about a second behind a short dimming. Screen readers hear Loading 360 video or Loading 360 photo.
  4. Everything else carries over: the stop rail, the map, the Back button, keys in a hunt, the chosen moment, and sound.
  5. Place the crossings where a pause feels natural, like a doorway to outside or a drone view above the building.
  6. Moments only apply to photo scenes. On a video scene the Time control hides, and it comes back on the next photo scene.
